Seville Home Of The Future Solar Technology Based on CIGS

The benefits of new technology-based solar cells and organic polymers CIGS star in the International Conference on Low Cost Solar Energy to be held in Seville on Dec. 11, and will discuss these alternatives to silicon solar investing millions of hoarding companies like Google or EDF.

The CIGS thin film modules (Thin Film) are made from conventional silicon cells, but are based on microstructures CIGS (copper indium gallium selenide) embedded in flexible substrates and light that allow us a multitude of uses: windows, mobile phones, laptops, cars, etc … For his part, OPV photovoltaic organic films are made from organic polymers that have the ability to react to sunlight. The International Conference on Low Cost Solar will be attended by experts from the likes of Bernhard Dimmler, Director of R & D Würth Solar, Karsten Otte, the German multinational also Solarion, or John Bisquert, professor and researcher at the Universitat Jaume I, specialists in these new technologies that may become a shock to competitiveness in a market like totally dependent on the Spanish solar silicon.
