Spain Asks Hungary For Support In Renewable Energy

The Minister for Science and Innovation, Cristina Garmendia, today called on the Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány, which takes account of Spanish companies in infrastructure projects, solar and other renewable energy and environment, where Spain is “curve” .

In opening the year of Hungary in Spain, held in the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, the Hungarian prime minister said Hungary offers interesting opportunities for Spanish companies, especially in biotechnology, tourism, logistics, automotive and electronic technology.

According to Gyurcsány, it is necessary to increase the flow of both trade and investment between the two countries, an objective that can be driven from the activities to be implemented throughout Spain during the year, which will make known to Hungary.

Garmendia, meanwhile, also highlight the stable relationship between the two countries and the upward trend in trade and investment, Hungarian leader requested the “greater collaboration in scientific projects.

At the inauguration, apart from bilateral relations, also discussed the international economic crisis, on which there are different solutions.

Minister for Science and Innovation Council and President of Chambers of Commerce, Javier Gomez-Navarro, the only way to deal with the crisis and growing competition from emerging countries are increasing investment in research and development (R + D) and maintenance of a united Europe.

The opening ceremony of Year of Hungary in Spain, organized by the Chambers of Commerce, the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, gathered more than 150 Spanish companies from all sectors, among which Abengoa Acciona, FCC, Iberdrola and Banco Popular group.
