Solar Power Home Systems
With the help of solar energy electricity can be generated to power a house. With people being more aware of their benefits and their effectiveness, demand for solar energy systems is growing much and there are a variety of systems available in the market.
Solar panels are usually connected to batteries that store energy as direct current. But the devices we use at home using alternating current, so a direct current inverter is necessary.
It is very common when installing solar power in a house, to have a hybrid system, meaning that we are connected to the electricity grid and our solar panels at the same time.
So when the sun is not available or the ability of the panels is not sufficient to meet demand, the electricity network supplying the energy we need. Similarly, if we generate more energy than we’re using, we can sell that energy to our power company.
There are also the so-called off-grid homes, or outside the grid, where 100% of the energy is extracted from the solar panels. Such facilities are more expensive, as it takes batteries, larger panels and investors to ensure the supply of electricity, even if several consecutive days without sun. To use this type of systems outside the network needs to have an energy saving culture, which will enable us to install smaller solar home to require less energy than they normally use.
