Netherlands Car Wins Solar Race

Weeks ago we published an article where we talked to you about a solar car race that takes place in Australia.

At the end the vehicle from Netherlands (Nuna4) won this Solar World Challenge, a 3 thousand kilometers race trough the Australian desert, as announced by the people in charge of this challenge.

Nuna4 took 33 hours and 17 minutes to make it to the goal and give their team Nuon Solar their 4th championship. They even have the race record with 29 hours 11 minutes.

The average speed of Nuna4 was 90.7 km per hour.

The only basic rule for the race is to race trough the Australian desert -with temperatures that exceed 50°C- and that the vehicles must use only solar energy in order to move.

These cars, working only in daylight time, crossed Australia from Darwin, in the north shores, to Adelaide, in the south.
