King Of Sweden Inaugurates Solar Cold Factory In Ólvega
The king Charles Gustave form Sweden inaugurated on September 22 the ClimateWell factory in Ólvega, Soria, specialized in the technological development of the solar energy cold generation for efficient climate conditioning in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
The monarch visited the factory in the afternoon, along with the ClimateWell AB president, Fred Andersson and another 250 guests.
Hours before the royal visit, the company programmed a tour through the facilities guided by the ClimateWell Iberica Commercial Director, Pedro Luis Rodriguez, to explain the technology installed in the factory an its production methods.
The Hispano-Swedish firm is dedicated to manufacturing an energy-efficient air conditioning system, powered by solar energy, with the special ability to store energy and provide both cold and heat, day and night, without recurring to external energy sources.
This system can be implemented in single family homes, community buildings and low rise offices, shopping centers and hospitals.
Company officials say an average family would save between one and two hundred Euros per month and emit fifteen CO2tons less per year with the installation of air conditioning system in their family home.
ClimateWell chose the town of Ólvega to implement its first production facility, where it manufactures, since late 2008, the units demanded in European markets.
In this factory, the company has invested eight million Euros, taking into holding a second phase, culminating in 2010 with an estimated investment of ten million Euros, which will increase its production capacity to reach 12,500 units per year.
The factory located in the polygon Ólvega has 2,700 square meters in area, forty employees and has a capacity to manufacture 3,000 units a year.
For the remainder of this year, according to the same sources, the anticipated turnover is twelve million and five hundred machines produced.
