Forms of Solar Energy

Here you have a summary of the different forms of solar energy utilization. Remember that the sun emits to the Earth six thousand million times more energy than is consumed worldwide. Passive Solar Energy: Harness the sun’s heat without mechanisms or mechanical systems.

Solar thermal: Produces low-temperature hot water for sanitary and heating.

Solar photovoltaic: Panels that produce electricity through semiconductors that are excited by solar radiation.

Solar thermal power: Produces electricity with a conventional thermodynamic cycle from a high temperature heated fluid (thermal oil)

Solar Hybrid: combines solar energy with biomass burning, fossil fuels, wind or other alternative energy.

Solar wind energy: Works with the air heated by the sun, which rises through a chimney where the generators are.
