Spray Coating for Solar Panels

Last week we talked about a new coating to improve the efficiency of solar panels.

This time, it is not the same kind of coating (still can see that the coating can be improved in the short term), but the Australian company Solar Spark Braggone and Finland Oy, have announced they will work together to develop a spray coating for solar panels.

The method sprinkles a layer of hydrogen and an anti-reflective layer. Traditionally, solar installations use the hydrogen plasma through a vacuum placed in the silicone anti-reflective coating. This method significantly increases production costs, and researchers say that the spray method can reduce the cost of a medium plant in about $ 4 million.

The process is underway and is expected to be in the market for 2011, which reduced the cost of solar panels to end users, i.e. you and me.
