Thermoelectric Conversion is the name of this procedure, which produces electricity when a component is hotter than the other one.

Until now, strong temperature differences were needed to achieve this. Now the Institute Franhofer from Germany made it possible. They even got to generate 200 millivolts with their hand that is more or less 1/100 the energy needed to start a mobile phone.

But if we thought about the neck, which is much hotter due to the circulation of blood, we could generate even more energy and in a near future we would recharge our iPod, mobile just with our body’s temperature.
