A Wind Turbine Design That Seems Impossible

Adam Fuller has dedicated his life to demonstrate that the vertical wind turbines are more efficient than the wind power industry says.

Fuller’s new design consists of 8 turbines, each with 4 species of structural steel blades. There are many points where the wind can strike the turbine, so the fewer breezes spin the blades. So far, the prototype is working without any problems.

While nobody has ever built a large-scale vertical turbine, Fuller thinks that his design is an excellent candidate to be the first.

“I was even able to show that for each 10 feet high, the output of energy in the rotor is increased by 300%. Then it can be assumed that by increasing it 40 feet the energy increases 1.200%. If the 40 ft. system is successful, it means that a 40-foot vertical turbine (with an approximate cost of $ 200,000) can provide the same energy of 12 conventional turbines (approximately $ 150,000) which is financially viable, and if you consider the amount of land it is even more.

Fuller“s dream of large-scale vertical turbines depends on the funds they get for their project.
