960 MW Wind Farm Planned For Germany
The company Innogy REW, with the purchase of the company Enova Energieanlagen GmbH, has acquired the rights to develop 3 wind farms in the sea of Germany, including a 960 MW capacity.
The wind farm, called Innogy Nordsee 1, will be built 40 kilometers north of the Juist Island, covering a sea area of 150 km2. It is expected the final permits are obtained ending 2009, which began construction in 2010 and the first wind turbines to generate electricity in 2011, to have the maximum capacity in 2015. It is expected the total cost of the project reach 3.7 trillion dollars.
