A Better Grid with Solar Energy
Solar plants not only produce clean energy, but help to have a better electrical grid.
As the company Endesa points out, solar projects that are planned in the area of influence of Mérida will be accompanied by new electrical installations that will reinforce the security of electricity supply.
Plants already built or to be launched at several locations near power lines and substations will need to dispose the energy produced.
These facilities will be connected to the units of Endesa in the capital, which in the future may be used to provide services to enterprise users.
José María Díaz, technical manager of the electricity company in the province of Badajoz, says such improvements are designed to output the energy generated by the promoters of the plants, but will also be available to the general network. “This is good for distribution, which is what Endesa is responsible for,” she says. The town of La Garrovilla host one of the largest projects in the country of solar thermal power generation, a technique that requires an investment that offers high yields but also very high.
