The answer is China. They produce around 80 million cubic meters of hot water with solar energy per year, representing over 80% worldwide. A lot of houses in China has a solar heater.

Why do not more people opt for solar water heaters?

There are countries in which such a facility could cost up to 5 thousand dollars, and apparently according to surveys, people do not like to see the solar water heaters on their roofs.

On the contrary I think that a solar water heater in your home gives an added value and therefore its price can rise, it’s all a matter of belief.

    Yes they can/ do look a bit out of place on some sloping roofed homes. but if you have a flat roofed house you can hide it away easily.
