Solar Cells in Different Colors to Create Images
A new type of solar cells painted in a variety of colors and patterns is in the market, allowing you to place them according to your needs, great for houses and buildings. They can be placed in windows, giving shade and electricity at the same time.
The semi-transparent solar panels combine the use of nanoparticles and organic parts that allows the conversion of sunlight into electricity. The current prototypes are amber, but it is possible to produce other colors, images and additional text can be printed on them. While it can be easily integrated into building design, the negative part is that they are very inefficient; they only have 4% effectiveness.
Electricity is produced from a film of nano-solar cells, which are inserted in two glasses that can be printed and then sealed for isolation.
