Wind power will supply England in 2020

The English government proposed an ambitious goal of installing 7000 new wind turbines off the coast by 2020, producing 33 gigawatts of electricity, enough to field all the houses there.

England currently has 2 gigawatts of installed wind energy costs, enough to just under 1.5 million homes. The government hopes to produce 20% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020 with this expansion plan. The project involves a wind turbine every 800 meters by the entire coastline.

The people from Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth say the project will be a revolution in wind energy to generate jobs, boost the economy and make Britain a leader in the battle against global warming. We will see in 2020 when England became the leader of wind energy in the world.
