Imagine that the blinds of the hotels, houses and offices could collect solar energy during the day and convert it to electricity at night.
Fifteen students from the University of Blakewater in England spent two months researching, discussing and designing solar blinds for the “Green Gadgets of the Future” contest, and got to the the top 5 of over one thousand projects registered.
The final design allows people to capture solar energy through the solar cells installed in the blinds.
The idea is only a school project for now, but I think is one of the most creative ideas I’ve seen in the recent years working on this website. Solar cells in the blinds, it is really quite clever and sound unbelievable than no one did it in the past.
