Homemade solar air heater
This video shows how we can build a solar air heater at home. In very cold weather this heater can help us to raise the temperature by about one quarter of 10th.
The list of materials is as follows
* A cardboard
* Coins
* Acrylic
That is all you need. The idea is for you to see how it is made and to make your own version of this homemade solar air heater.

That’s a neat idea to use coins as an absorber. They have a rough surface to create some turbulence and are highly conductive. However, I am confused about why the entire collector surface was not covered with coins since the foam board is not going to transfer heat nearly as well as the coins. I have tried making my own solar air heater but instead of coins for the absorber I used aluminum flashing painted black. I also created an air channel behind the absorber so less heat is lost out the glazing. You can have a look at the design here: http://practicallyoffthegrid.com/category/solar-air-heating/
