Air Tree in Spain produces energy and oxygen
In Madrid the Spanish capital, a huge structure called the “Air Tree” is being built at the moment. It is designed to help the environment and to create a social gathering point for people.
The “Air Tree” generates its own electricity using photovoltaic solar panels located on top of the structure. These solar panels generate enough power to sell it to the local power companies.
Inside the structure planted trees will produce oxygen, as an ordinary tree. Because of this the surrounding areas have a lower and pleasant temperature. It is expected that in the days of summer, the temperature will drop between 8 and 10 ยบ C within the vicinity of the “Air Tree”.
The “Air Tree” will be built with recycled materials and has been funded by a consulate in Madrid and the European Union.
